Details: Reporter Jay Minhaus was fired from his journalism job for plagiarism. Dangling a fake new mutant as bait, he tricked Mutant X and two GS agents into confronting one another at Hillside Properties, and then secretly taped their encounter to hand over to Proxy Blue for general dissemination. Shalimar Fox and Brennan Mulwray saved him from being killed by GS agent Harvey Lanchester, but their interrogations proved fruitless. Jay gave them the slip only to run into Harvey again, who cooked him to death with his microwave blasts.
