Details: As one of the four Genomex researchers involved in Project Nine, surgical specialist Dr. Samuel Howell helped to place a neural implant in Lexa Pierce's brain which would allow someone to remotely control her central nervous system and her actions. Years later, when one of the other doctors, Dr. John Gonsalves, re-activated the implant and sent Lexa to murder him one night in his office.
