PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
While ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Forbes March (Nash) will acknowledge that some actors like to rehearse “with the intention of getting the words down perfectly,” he prefers to approach it another way. “I like to rehearse to find stuff that hasn’t necessarily been found,” he shares. “You know, we’ll rehearse just completely improv-ing the whole thing, then rehearse with the lines and then with alternate lines, just to find some nuances. It’s called exploring it.”
Once this process is done, March feels like the results can be really satisfying. “You find little stuff that people may not notice,” he says, “or maybe do notice but only a bit. But it brings it to light.”
