Victoria Pratt: Sci-Fi Wire
Victoria Pratt, who stars in the upcoming SCI FI original movie House of the Dead 2: Dead Aim, told SCI FI Wire that she'll also been seen in the upcoming horror movies Brotherhood of Blood and Comedy Hell. In Brotherhood, Pratt (Mutant X) plays a vampire hunter; in Comedy, she'll be a waitress.
"Brotherhood of Blood was kind of cool," Pratt said in an interview. "It sort of reminded me of my Mutant X days. I was a hero. That's a very interesting one. It's a vampire movie with a twist. There's no actual vampire bite in the movie. It's just not about that, and it's us hunting them as opposed to them hunting us."
The movie, written and directed by Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer, also stars Sid Haig and Ken Foree and tells the story of vampire hunter Carrie Rieger (Pratt), who must face an enemy that even the vampires fear. "You know what I like about it?" Pratt asked. "It's a violent movie with a violent premise, but there's a real sweet love story in it that I hope comes across. That's me with Wes Ramsey [who has played the adult version of Wyatt on several episodes of Charmed]. His character is Fork. ... That film also has some fun horror names in there [including Haig, who also appears in House of the Dead 2]. I think there's been a lot of buzz about it. We finished it right before Christmas, and they're taking it back to Germany to work on the editing."
Pratt described Comedy Hell as a comedy-horror melange. It's from Scott LaRose, director of The Blair Bitch Project, a spoof of The Blair Witch Project. "Comedy Hell is about this trio of comics who go up to Big Bear to do this horrible comedy show, and they sort of get mixed up with a serial killer who's on the loose up there," Pratt said. "I play Kelli, the waitress who falls in love with one of the guys [Marty Rackham] in one night. I know, one night, the whore! And joins them on their escapades. We had a screening of that at the Laugh Factory on Halloween, and they are, I think, trying to shop it around at festivals."
