About First Mutant

My name is Nadia (otherwise known as First Mutant or Lexajesse). A reversed Mutant X fan who began watching the show mid-season three and then worked my way backwards to the beginning, I am a rare fan of both Lexa Pierce and Emma deLauro. I also love the memorable villains Mason Eckhart and Gabriel Ashlocke. I am essentially a non-shipper, but if pushed, I would opt for Emma/Shalimar and Lexa/Jesse.

The Mutant X Warehouse is both an information guide and archive site. After several of my favorite Mutant X sites disappeared, I began this journal in order collect and organize Mutant X material for preservation. If you have a question, additions for The Warehouse, or see something of yours which you would like removed from the archives, please email me or leave a comment here, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you!

The song playing at the end of the episode is "Green Stars" by Microbunny. Their website is here.

You came walking through the door
Just as if you’d left it open
I was busy trying to ignore
The tell-tale signs of missing
Of missing you

And I’ll find time to look over everything
And I’ll find time to get over everything

There’s a photo I found warping
Two sunburnt faces look out smiling
I’m much taller in real life
The camera angle only seeing one side

And I’ll find time to look over everything
And I’ll find time to get over everything
And I’ll find time to look over everything
And I’ll find time

Excellent choice! Nothing to Fear is actually my favorite season one episode. Seeing how each member dealt with his or her worst fears gave a little more depth to the characters.

Victor certainly does seem like an interesting person. I haven't seen him in any television shows of late. Aside from a few guest star appearances several months ago, he did recently appear in the SciFi film Sands of Oblivion, which re0-runs every now and again on that channel.

(Anonymous): Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Uh, okay, I'm a big fan of Mutant X and I really, really like this site. [Very informative. Good Job Lexajesse!!] I was wondering if anyone has a transcript for Sign From Above coz I'd really like to know what Emma said that was so cold until Shal had to talk to her about it. I tried searching for the episode on YouTube but couldn't find anything. Quite a lot of Mutant X episodes were pulled out of the site.

Erm, besides that, I heard that Karen Cliche (Lexa) also acted in Adventure Inc. right? If so, can someone find me the transcript of the first episode: Bride of The Sun? There're some really cool quotes I like in that particular episode.

For the other users of GreatestJournal, you can also go to my blog [http://organizedchaoz.blogspot.com] and leave a message at the CBox. Just a warning for those going to my blog though: I kinda used Lexa and Leo's name as characters for my story...something like a slash between Mutant X and X-Men. Hope all you Mutant X fans are not too offended. (I hope).

Thanks for all your help.

[info]firstmutant: Re: Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Hello, thank you for stopping by! I'll start working on the transcript for "Sign from Above" as soon as I get the replacement DVD for that set of episodes from Amazon. In the meantime, if you have access to the Veoh website, Wolf2Rogue has uploaded many of the season two episodes that were once on YouTube there instead. The line you're interested in was from Emma to Jesse, as the team is on their way to search his girlfriend Amanda Terry's apartment just after she was murdered. Jesse's expressing his anger at her death, and Emma says something insensitive like "Get over it." Brennan pulls Jesse away before he and Emma can argue about it, and Shalimar talks to Emma about why she's being so cold.

I haven't seen any transcripts of Adventure Inc in my internet travels, but I'll certainly keep an eye out. Thanks for sharing your link and crossover fanfiction; I love both X-Men and Mutant X, so I'll definitely check it out!

(Anonymous): Re: Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Thanks for all your help. I don't really have access so maybe you could just give me the link? Well actually the Lexa and Leo in my story are kinda different. Same as Mutant X just with a twist. To put it in summary, they're Scott Summers and Jean Grey's grandchildren [ok so I have been making up a whole new X-Men saga or whatever without exact references to the movies or comics]. The whole thing basically revolves around Alix, their youngest daughter and a certain visitor from the future....

Neways Brother's Keeper, At Destiny's End and Fool for Love are some of my faves episodes. I really like the move Jesse, Emma and Brennan did in Fool for Love [You know, the one where Shal's cornered and her friends come to help her and they do some sort of spinning thing so that Jesse's in the front, Brennan's at the back and Emma's sandwiched in the middle and they started taking the guys out?]

Also I'm curious: When did Emma's telempathic abilities start to expand? I mean, when did she start being able to erase memories and her eyes turning black and all that? In Season 3 Episode "The Prophecy" I noticed that John Bishop's eyes turned black when he spoke of the prophecy. Is it another reference to X-Men since there's also a member of the X-Men Team named Bishop?

[info]firstmutant: Re: Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Sure, Wolf2Rogue's Veoh is here: http://www.veoh.com/users/rogue2wolf
You should be able to watch all of the S2 episodes there. "Brother's Keeper" is my favorite S3 episode as well, and I've always thought that "Fool for Love" was one of the best for bringing out the different aspects of Shalimar's character.

The tantalizing thing about Emma is that we never do find out exactly how much she is capable of, or when she learns that she's capable of it. She's always had abilities beyond simple telempathy, though, as early as the first episode, where she casts an illusion for Allison to make her see two dock workers as GS agents. "No Man Left Behind" and "Reality Check" are the only two episodes where her eyes turn black, but Emma's been erasing memories since the first season. In "Ex Marks the Spot," she puts the guards at Dombey and Sons to sleep and assures Jesse that they won't remember anything when they wake up.

Bishop may be a reference to the X-Men character; anything's possible in the Mutant X-verse. Though in Mutant X, both of the Bishops -- Ruby and John -- are psionics instead of energy elementals like X-Men's Bishop.

I've enjoyed reading your story so far; it's a really interesting twist to the traditional universe you've come up with. :)

(Anonymous): Re: Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Thanks for your reviews. Perhaps you could give me some ideas regarding my stories? I've been having writer's block and my exams are coming up so perhaps I won't have much time to write. Besides, I'm running out of codenames and powers for my characters.

Come to think of it, who's the dude--Luke Pierce? I never knew why the producers stuck Luke in and later changed his character to Leo. Does anyone knows the real name of the actor who plays Luke Pierce, and is there any way I can get the full picture of Lexa and Luke (like in full screen)?

Regarding the Bishop thing: One, what happened to Ruby, the ESP-er? Correct me if I'm wrong. All I know was that he was tortured by the GSA and then Mutant X was freed and he disappeared. Never really understood why they don't explore more of the other types of mutants e.g. give more info on their lives instead of just chasing after the GSA.

Two, is it possible that Ruby and John are somewhat related to each other, considering their same lastnames and mutant abilities?

Don't get me wrong; I really, really like Lexa. But the producers could just give a little more insight on how vast are Emma's powers. That would've been interesting to watch. How does she handle all the pressure? My lead heroine (in the X-Men Story) is also a telempathic--actually owns practically every psionic power--so I'm trying to see from her point of view. Wouldn't it be just tiring and awful to feel what others are feeling everyday until you forget what it's like to really feel for yourself?

Anyway thanks to those for read my blog and thanks for the link, Nadia. Also for all the help you gave.

[info]firstmutant: Re: Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Anytime. Coming up with mutant codenames is fun! :)

Karen Cliche (Lexa) has said in interviews that the Luke/Leo mix-up was just a script mistake by the writers -- they didn't know which name they were going to use for Lexa's brother in "Brother's Keeper." I fournd a screencap of that photograph once, but I think it's smaller than full-screen.

We've always wondered whether Ruby and John were somehow related; it would be neat if they were. Ruby doesn't show up after "Shock of the New," though you'd hope that Mutant X freed him along with the other new mutants at Genomex and he went into the mutant Underground with a new identity. The majority of the new mutants that are rescued throughout the series disappear and are never heard from again -- which is, rather conveniently, the purpose of the underground. I agree that it would have been nice to know more about their backgrounds (and to find out whether the GS agents had lives outside of their work!), but with a few exceptions, that wasn't really the focus of the first season.

Wouldn't it be fascinating to be inside the mind of psionic? :)

(Anonymous): Re: Transcript for Episode 208: Sign From Above

Yeah it would be...very interesting in fact. For all the users of the GreatestJournal, I would like to present several very interesting questions: 1.Which power do you think is the most powerful ability out of all the rest? For me it would be telekinesis. Because as I've reasoned [dunno about you guys :)], everything is basically movement.

Take hydrokinesis for example [water elemental for you guys]: The guy controls water, makes it move and turn into any shape he wishes. That's a type of telekinesis isn't it? And Jesse, his phasing and massing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I had this kind of theory that if he was phasing, his molecules were moved very far apart to enable the phasing. Vice versa for the massing. In that case, wouldn't it be possible for a powerful telekinetic [Omega level mutant in X-Men terms] be able to move his own molecules to phase or mass himself?

Question number 2: If you could be a mutant, what powers will you have and what will be your codename? Just wanna check out if there are any powers I forgot.

Oh, Nadia, I also need your help. Alix Summers--main lead in my story--has a sister who's a Cervine feral. I couldn't figure out a codename for her though. I'm also at a dead end for Alix's codename. She's a psionic, so I though of naming her Empath, but I found out there's another mutant with the same name. Wanted to name her Rapport, but that's copyrighting Mutant Xverse.

Also, I can't figure out a middle name for one of the main characters. Should he be Christien Isaac Perry or Christien Ambrose Perry? I listed his codename as Evangel but I think it's not that suitable for him. [I'll be sticking his bio in my blog so you can see what exactly does he do].

I also like to know, are there any avian ferals out there? I heard they're really rare though. The Avians make me think of Warren Worthington from X-Men (codename Angel). XDXDXD

Hey :)
I often visit your website, and it's absolutly incredible!! You're always listing everything about MutantX, even 4 years after the stop of the serie!! It makes it always living.
Are you alone to do all those things, or have you got help? And how do you do to find all those rare informations pratically unobtainable?
One of my favourites link are the database about pics and places where season 2 was shooting, and Sanctuary in 3D (better than mine ^^,). Not my favorite season, but very interesting things. I didn't find for the moment, but i hope you've got such things for seasons 1 and 3 :)
Anyway, i'm always searching, but i don't know which way to turn!! So much things ^_^

I loved Proxy Blue's website too, but it apparently closed...!
Well, very good job and very good idea!! You know, i've got nearly... 7 internet explorer pages which are actually open, and i'm afraid my computer fails ^^,, lol

Well, have a nice day :)
Biz,

Emy/Youfie.

Thanks for the positive feedback; myself, I've loved your 3D renditions of Sanctuary. I manage all the updates and organization myself, but over the two years The Directory has been up, I've had tons of help from dozens of Mutant X fans around the world. It's been wonderful meeting other people with an interest in the show, and lots of fun finding little tidbits to add here. Thanks for visiting, honey! :D

(Anonymous): Telempathy? Maybe

hey Nadia just wondering I was thinking back to the previous episodes of Season 2, and in yr site u kept mentioning that as Emma's powers expand, her eyes tend to turn black when she erases someone's memory etc. Well i also noticed that in the episode 'The Prophecy' [izzit rite] the precog John Bishop's eyes also turned black when he was stating the prophecy to Shalimar even though he was just a precog--i mean, he's not like Emma, whose powers are expanding. So is it possible that the 'eyes turning black' thing is just a psionic thing, or is John Bishop around Emma's league [is he as powerful as/more powerful than her], or izzit just a mistake the producers made?

also i'd like to know is there anyway to see other mutant x episodes like Reawakening? coz i went to youtube and couldnt find it; even in the Wolf2Rogue site i cant seem to locate the video. Is there anywhere else i can find it, or is it just one of the few episodes that no one liked very much therefore no one bothered to upload it?

[info]firstmutant: Re: Telempathy? Maybe

Greetings, OrganizedChaoz!

Wolf2Rogue had nearly uploaded seasons one and two on YouTube when the videos were deleted for copyright violation. The season 2 videos (including "Reawakening") were then transferred to Veoh. You can watch them here: http://www.veoh.com/users/rogue2wolf

About black eyes being indicative of the relative power of a psionic...it's difficult to be certain with such a limited number of cases. All of the instances I can recall have been psionics: John Bishop when reciting prophecies in "The Prophecy," Marc Griffin when absorbing memories in "Presumed Guilty," and Emma when broadcasting an extended wave of negative energy in "No Man Left Behind" and mentally blasting Levak Ivanov into oblivion in "Reality Check." I don't know that Emma's expanding psionic range is the cause of her eyes turning black in these later episodes; even as she becomes more powerful, the majority of her psionic abilities don't involve any eye color change. It's possible that only specific abilities cause the change, such as precise precognition or memory absorbsion. According to Lexa, John Bishop is "the most powerful precog on the map," but he too is able to access his foresight without black eyes, unless he is touched and forced to render a specific prophecy. Marc Griffin's eyes turn black when he absorbs Adam's memories, but when Emma erases Jesse's memory in "No Man Left Behind," she does it with a psionic blast and clear eyes.

Of course, it's also possible that the producers just thought the special effect of black/red/glowing eyes looked cool. ;)

Hi! OrganizedChaoz here again.

Just wondering, I was skimming through the charcters page the other day when I realized that only Lexa had a Dominion file on her while the others don't. If you wrote them, izzit possible to write something similar for the other Mutant x team members coz it's really interesting?

Also i noticed that while the other Mutant X members have all sorts of interviews with Adam, Lexa doesn't seem to have them. If she was Mutant X 1.0, wouldn't she have gone through the whole interview process as well? Maybe it could be written as a sort of conversation with Jesse/Shal/Brennan about how she felt about her brother's death and about her parents and the military facility she grew up at. Coz so far I've been reading loads on Mutant X fanfics and none of them really had anything on Lexa and Leo's background.

Thanks loads.

[info]firstmutant: Re: Telempathy? Maybe

Hello, and thanks for the compliment and the reminder! I did write Lexa's Dominion profile, and intended to complete a psych profile for the other characters but never did get around to them. That could certainly be my next project. :)

Lexa and Leo's past would indeed make a fascinating story! I did not, however, write Adam's interviews with Shalimar, Brennan, Jesse, and Emma. These were copied directly from a former website called Mutant X Lives, which was once a part of the official Mutant X website. Updates on Mutant X Lives ceased about halfway through the second season, which is why Lexa (as well as anything else from the third season) isn't included on the site. After Mutant X Lives and the other four faux websites disappeared in 2005, I saved some of the information from those sites here.

Yeah that'll be cool to have psych profiles on the other Mutant X members. Also wondering is there any good fanfic sites u can recommend? Coz so far the only site i'm a frequent reader of is www.fanfiction.net, and i was wondering if there are any fanfics written by fans of the show. Maybe you could put out a link for fanfics?

Also wondering what lauren lee smith and the rest of the cast are doing right now [acting projects i mean], especially Steve Byres and Karen Cliche.

Thanks again for all your help. Wonderful site.

Last time I checked, Steve Byers didn't have an official site, but he does have a fansite here, and there are a few clips of him playing Leo here. According to imdb, his last roles were in "Falcon Beach," and the two films My Daughter's Secret and Left for Dead.

Hey again.

I was wondering if you had any blueprints/floorplans of Sanctuary in Season 3? Coz i went to the multimedia link and only found season 1-2 blueprints, and they seem to be missing the part of Sanctuary which has the spiral staircase and the two computers featured in season 3. Hey, it's me again :)

Thank you very much for making any advertising for my work :D
I'm sorry, i know that there's no more update :(
But don't worry, i didn't abandon my project :)
I can't wait to work on it, but alas, during school year, teachers give us a lot of work, even for christmas, alas(and the night... @_@ only 5h30 for sleeping *sig :(* They're crazy!)
But i'll try to find a moment to work on it, especially as i've got a more high-performance machine, now :D
It's more pleasant to work on something fluid, and i'm sure that the next video will have a better quality :)

About Sanctuary's plans, there's one in Mutant X french fan team made by the admin' too ^^
But i think that there's some place in the Sanctuary which haven't really got an exact location. I've view every episodes of season 3 to try to understand where Adam's desk and garage could be, but... never found where they were walking to go back the entrance hall of the Sanctuary :-/
That's the same thing for the interior of the platform. There were Bedroom in season 1, but now... i don't know if i've got to model them for my season 3's Sanctuary, or if there were nothing inside.
But... Hey!! I know who i could ask!!! Never thought about it before ;p

Anyways, i'm always searching for the rest :)
Because i know where the garage was in the depot, but the floorplans of season 2 aren't those of the Sanctuary, but of the studios :(
Not exactly the same thing :-/
(i know, i'm maybe too much meticulous)

Well, good luck, guys ;) !!

Hey guys! It's been so long since I last posted a comment here. Hope everyone's feeling good during this Chinese New Year. I noticed that in one part of this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO0KlRj5G7I) Emma was wearing a navy blue sweater, with a white shirt and a tie. Can someone tell me what episode this is?

Besides, does anyone seem to notice that during Season 1 Emma was the bubbly, happy-go-lucky one of the group but in Season 2 she started becoming more cold and guarded so much that sometimes you wonder if she knows about Adam and the Dominion way before Season 3?

Just saw the trailer for Lauren Lee Smith's new movie Pathology. It rockz! I'm so gonna buy the DVD when it comes out.
